Hi, I'm Laura-Marie

I majored in illustration at College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. Since then I have had the opportunity to do a graphic design internship at Amrock, in the heart of downtown, and build my networking skills through freelancing. 

Having been born in Germany, and being the only part of the family that lives outside of Germany, I am fortunate enough to be bilingual and to have traveled to Europe many times. My background has given me a worldly view, open mind and gives me the advantage to bring a new perspective to the table.

My personal art is greatly inspired by nature, while my professional work is greatly influenced by bold design through color and imagery. I carry a sketchbook with me wherever I go, but it’s fair to say that any sheet of paper laying in front of me is a canvas to doodle on.

I believe that key to a great work of art is a well rounded concept with an organized execution that leads to a complete piece. This is something that I don’t only try to show in my art but also carry into my personal life. Whatever it is I do in my free time, I am always working with my hands. Whether its gardening, painting, building a new shelf or rearranging my room for the millionth time.
